With the support from the Germany Consulate in Guangzhou, the German Chamber and The Happy Monk will jointly organize this Carnival Party for the fourth year in Guangzhou on March 1 to introduce this interesting culture to more people in China. 

在德国驻广州总领事馆的支持下，中国德国商会 · 华南及西南地区将再次携手The Happy Monk于3月1日晚连续四年在广州共同举办狂欢派对，将科隆狂欢节这一有趣的节日文化带给更多在中国的朋友！

Cologne Carnival

As the second largest carnival in the world, Cologne Carnival attracts millions of people joining every year: dress up in fancy costumes, parade, dance and drink a lot.

狂欢节通常是基督教四旬斋前宴饮和狂欢的节日，起源于中世纪，盛行于欧美。

德国科隆狂欢节是继巴西里约热内卢狂欢节后全球第二大狂欢节庆活动，每年吸引上百万民众盛装参与！节日期间，人们奇装异服、上街游行、跳舞、喝酒狂欢。

从前，人们为将冬季恶灵驱逐出城，便头戴面具上街游行，这一惯例被保留下来，便有了后来的化装游行和化装舞会。如今，狂欢节成为人们抒发对幸福和自由向往的重要节日。人们把真实的自我隐藏在怪异的服装或面具下，打破束缚，肆意狂欢，释放自我。
