嘉宾介绍

As CEO, Rob leads the organization charged with the licensing, enforcement, compliance, marketing and growth of HDMI technology. He is also the chief evangelist promoting HDMI Technology as the #1 digital audio, video and data interface to the consumer electronics, PC and entertainment industries. His organization works closely with 2,000 HDMI adopters and consumer electronics manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and other ecosystems partners who are responsible for creating an installed base of 11 billion units of HDMI-enabled products worldwide, and as such brings a recognized level of expertise working with foreign regulatory channels, customs authorities, standards development organizations, media companies, etc. to protect and promote the HDMI brand.

Prior to HDMI LA, he was President of the MHL Consortium (Mobile High-Definition Link). Before MHL, he was responsible for overseeing strategic marketing and standardization of Silicon Image’s connectivity technologies, including HDMI and MHL. During that time, he was also the Marketing Vice Chairman for the HDMI Forum, Inc. He has held various management positions at IBM Microelectronics, LSI Logic, Fawcette Technical Publishing, and Mixman Technologies.

Rob holds an MBA from Santa Clara University and BSEE from UC Davis, sits on the UC Davis Engineering Faculty’s Dean’s Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of WiSA Technologies, and serves on committees for the Consumer Technology Association.
